Apparently Naphtha (known as Shellite in Australia) can be used for cleaning. But as near as I can tell it’s mostly used for fuel.

Brake cleaner is another solvent/cleaner that people use. A pretty serious degreaser as I understand it. Haven’t used it myself. And now that you mention naphtha, I’m sure there are a ton of others you could add. Like kerosene. Which I believe is the same thing as naphtha sometimes.
