This turned up on HN today: Tomu, a tiny ARM microprocessor which fits in your USB port.

Electronics rabbit hole
This evening I read, among a few other things:
DC Power
So the standard/typical size of the most common DC power plug/socket is 5.5 x 2.1 mm. There are a bunch of other sizes too.
How much current can a 9V battery supply?
Today I watched How much current can a 9V battery supply? Let’s test it! over on YouTube.
Full set! 1,283 projects to do…
I think this is just so super duper cool:
- Maxitronix 500 in 1 Electronics Lab
- Maxitronix 300 in 1 Electronics Lab
- Maxitronix 200 in 1 Electronics Lab
- Maxitronix 130 in 1 Electronics Lab
- Maxitronix 60 in 1 Electronics Lab
- Maxitronix 30 in 1 Electronics Lab
- Maxitronix 10 in 1 Electronics Lab
- Maxitronix AM/FM Radio Kit
- Maxitronix Crystal Radio Kit
- Maxitronix Metal Detector
- Maxitronix Digital Recording Lab
I call these, variously, 500in1, 300in1, 200in1, 130in1, 60in1, 30in1, and 10in1. Or, collectively, Xin1.
What Does “VCC” Stand For?
So today via What Does “VCC” Stand For? I learned that VCC stands for “voltage at the common collector”.
HC and LS logic families
So today I learned that “HC” (high speed CMOS) and “LS” (low power Schottky) are two different types of logic family.
Coupling and Decoupling
Today I read a little about Coupling and Decoupling. Apparently 0.1uF ceramic cap across VCC and Ground pins on a IC will do it.
HiLetGo USB Logic Analyzer
So I got myself a HiLetgo USB Logic Analyzer Device With EMI Ferrite Ring USB Cable 24MHz 8CH 24MHz 8 Channel UART IIC SPI Debug because for USD$12 + shipping how could I not? It came with a video from Amazon about how it works.
Multi-Function Tester
So I got myself this new bit of kit: M328 Diode Triode Capacitor Resistor Transistor ESR Meter Multi-Function Tester. When I opened the box there was no manual. But it turns out a manual is not required! This thing is so easy to use. Just wire up any old component and the device will tell you what it is!
