These are some notes I made about the pin-out of the HW-260 adapter boards I have for my ATtiny85 microcontrollers. I think my ATtiny45’s are also compatible. Not sure about my ATtiny13A’s.

Why is the audio speed so weird?
Over here one of my viewers asked “Why is the audio speed so weird?” The answer is that I was speeding up the video in an attempt to make the content more “lively” and so viewers could get through 6 minutes worth of content in only 4 minutes. However I have come to understand that others don’t think this is a good idea, so I have canceled the various videos I had queued for release, and I will remake them without the speed ups. I won’t be redoing any of the videos I have already released though, so that history will stand. :)

This video is part of the New Book Teardown feature of my video blog.
In this video I tear down the 2nd Edition of the Dictionary of Electronics by Harley Carter A.M.I.E.E. This book was published in Great Britain in 1963 (following the 1st Edition published in 1960). This book comprises 410 pages of definitions of electronics terms that were current in 1963.

In this video I do the third Maxitronix 20in1 Electronic Project Lab project: Electronic Candles.
Now with schematics!
I finished the Maxitronix 10in1 and now I’ve started the Maxitronix Sensor Robot 20, which I am calling the Maxitronix 20in1.
For the 20in1 I will be scanning in the instructions, schematic, and wiring diagrams, as can be seen for example here.
The scans from the manual (which I make using my Epson Perfection V39 flatbed scanner) pick up the text from the overlapping page but I managed to use the `convert` program (part of ImageMagick) to fix them up, as can be seen in my script jj5-maxi. I also use the deskew feature to straighten the images up, and that seems to work well!
To give you an example of the difference, here are some before and after shots:
Brightness and Darkness
I’m trying to get my head around the electronics I have been building recently. I have put together a web page which I can use to compare the implementations of the brightness and darkness detectors from the Maxitronix 20in1 projects I have built lately: Brightness and Darkness.
