New spot for Dremel

My Dremel used to be installed under my bench (the bench I call the “booth”). But it was a hassle to get it out when I needed to use it. So I have relocated it to a spot next to my main bench (the bench I call the “bench”). So far so good. With the benefit of experience I should be able to figure out the best way to route the power cable.

p.s. I tried to find a new one of these Dremel wall mounts to purchase, but I couldn’t find one for sale anywhere… if you find one for sale somewhere, please do let me know!

Announcing new website for In The Lab With Jay Jay

Good news everyone!

The In The Lab With Jay Jay website has been freeloading off jj5.net for a while now, over here: https://www.inthelabwithjayjay.com/in-the-lab/

But I am pleased to announce that it has now been moved into its new and permanent home, over here: InTheLabWithJayJay.com

There is also a short-link domain which will redirect you to the new site which I put into production to keep the links on my business cards short: jjlab.net

Speaking of business cards I had some made to take with me to ElectroneX on Wednesday:

John's new business card for In The Lab With Jay Jay

I’m planning to show up in costume and hand out business cards, because I am a *genuine* nerd.

As part of the migration to the new domain I improved the content of the site a bit. There is now an about page with contact info and such and also a support the show page with some ideas about how people can support the show!

Props to Corsair

Just wanted to say thank you publicly to Corsair. The case for my computer ‘charisma‘ is a Corsair Carbide 100R Silent Edition Mid-Tower ATX Case. I really love this case and in fact I have two of them.

Anyway I had a problem where one of the feet snapped off and I couldn’t find spares for sale anywhere on the internet. I applied for a replacement of the feet through the Corsair warranty process, which was comprehensive but relatively painless, and I am pleased to report that my new replacement feet arrived today.

I am a happy customer!
