Silly Job Title: Energy Maestro. I am the Energy Maestro!

In this video we do the 12th project from the Maxitronix 30in1 Electronics Project Lab Kit: Music from a Pencil.

We use the Rigol MSO5074 Mixed Signal Oscilloscope to investigate our oscillator’s waveform.

We use the METCAL PS-900 Soldering Station to solder our cables to the alligator clips.

We use the MUIN Solder Fume Extractor to clear the air.

We use the EEVblog BM2257 Digital Multimeter to measure resistance.

We use the Multicomp Pro MP701033 Resistor Decade Box as a variable resistor.

We use the Carpenter Mechanical Pencil to draw our pencil resistor.

We use the Plato Model 170 Wire Cutter to cut our cables.

We use the Kaisi S-160 45x30cm Repair Mat as our workspace.

Thanks very much for watching! And please remember to hit like and subscribe! :)

p.s. today I added MUIN to my spell check.

Just train tired

Justin Sung’s D-F-U-Z method for Thought Action Defusion helps to decouple your productivity from your motivation:

  1. Distinguish (between feelings, thoughts, and actions)
  2. Fake (pretend you’re not feeling tired or lazy, even if you are)
  3. Uptime (increasingly spend longer and longer in the thought-action defusion state)
  4. Zone (create a distraction-free environment you can be focused in)

HAKKO FR-301 desoldering pump

Check out the HAKKO FR-301 demoed in the video below. My desoldering pump is the Pro’sKit SS-331H Desoldering Pump and I am happy with it so far, but I have only used it a little bit. If I ever need to upgrade or replace the Pro’sKit SS-331H I will definitely consider the HAKKO FR-301.
