Decade Resistor Box

I got two of these Resistance Box 0-9999.9Ω Adjustable Lab Resistor Substitution Box Precision 1W Variable Knob Switch Boxes from AliExpress, but they kind of suck a bit. The resistors are only 1/4 Watt, the precision only 5% or 10%, and I had to mod it myself to replace the terminals with banana sockets.

Today I came across Build a Pro Decade Resistor Box for Cheap! PCB & 3D Print Files Included which includes all the plans necessary to make my own resistor box and with 1 Watt resistors.

I might take this on some time.

In this video I unbox my new MSI MAG Infinite S3 14NUC7-1456AU Enthusiast Gaming Desktop, Intel Core i7-14700F, RTX 4060 8GB, 16GB DDR5 RAM, 1TB M.2 SSD+2TB HDD, WIFI6E, BT5.2, Win11H, Gaming KBM, Black, 3 Year Warranty.

This is my gaming rig, called ‘treat‘. It has a Intel Core i7-14700F CPU and NVIDIA RTX 4060 8GB GPU.

If you like my electric scissors, those are Jackcat Electric Scissors.

Oh, and the USB 5.1 surround sound speakers I have ordered are these ones: USB 5.1 Audio Sound Card 6 Channel Sound Card Built in HighEnd Chip, with Sound Mixing Function Support 48/44 KHz Sampling Rate for Both Playback and Recording.

In this video I open my recent mail. Stuff that I ordered:

In the video I mention that I made some notes about how to pronounce famous mathematicians’ names, those notes are here: God Created the Integers.

In the video I mention the Arduino Leonardo and the Arduino Micro which I am using for my MIDI-synth project: Crustaceans Chirp Chirp Challenge. Both the Leonardo and the Micro are based on the ATmega32U4 microcontroller which has built-in USB support.

My audio cables are so that I can connect my new gaming rig ‘treat‘ to my Logitech Z607 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System Bluetooth.

The NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day for 2024 November 15 is what I needed the 3D glasses for. Unfortunately they didn’t work particularly well for me. Oh well, can’t win ’em all.

Also, I figured out how to use my thermometer properly by reading the manual. Go figure. The thermometer supports two modes of operation, forehead and ear. So it works properly if you use it correctly.
